Hello!

Welcome. I'm a Chicago native currently in London. My passions are travelling, photography and being weird.

Les Plumes, Paris

Les Plumes has just 35 rooms, including several suites, and each are woven with a writing theme. I stayed in the George & Alfred Room and loved the top hat lights, the old rotary phone (that worked!) and smart closet space.

The reception/evening area is cozy and refined. They have a wine "machine" that I have not seen anywhere else! Two rows of 250 ml tubes on either side of the machine are laid out. One side white, the other red. Each have a range of choices and the hotel staff are there to help you choose if you're undecided. Then it's put into a slot from the top of the machine and the process begins! The machine punctures a hole, aerates it, and then beautifully empties it into a glass; sleek and modern feeling, much like the boutique hotel.

The surrounding area was full of trendy hangouts, a long pedestrian alley with a fabulous independent wine shop, and accessibility to transportation.
